Administrative and biographical history: Ainon Baptist Church, Walker Road, Splott, Cardiff, Glamorgan, grew out of the Marion Street Mission Hall established by Salem Welsh Baptist Church, Splott. In 1890, the Mission Hall became a branch of the church, and in 1894 the branch became a Welsh Baptist church. A schoolroom was erected in 1892, and a church in 1896. English language services were introduced in 1911. By 1929, all services were conducted in English. The church was finally closed in 1975.
