- FAMILY DETECTIVES, a TV series on family history in Wales, was sponsored by ANW and shown on ITV1 Wales over the summer. This is how ITV described it: 'Offering a twist on the conventional family tree, this fascinating new series takes us forwards instead of backwards to discover the descendants of some of Wales's most famous sons and daughters.
Professional genealogists Dewi Thomas from Rhuddlan, Nicole Neale from Bridgend and Greg Howes from Llandeilo join presenter Carolyn Hitt to piece together clues to help descendants meet their remarkable ancestors.
The experts are also on hand to give us some handy hints and tips for those wishing to trace their family history'. 2-11-2006
